MY OCD
If there is one thing about me that you dont know yet is probably my obsession over perfumes.
It all started when my mom sent me cute little perfume bottles set from U.S . Eversince that , i hunt and collect perfumes. My last counter, i remember had over 20+ bottles of perfumes and least another 20+ of miniatures. Its not much as it seems but i am not the type of person who leave 1ml left in bottle and keep sake it unless the perfume is damm diff to find n buy.
Before i left for my Working Holiday , i charity it out ! :( :( To be honest, besides leaving my grandma and my hokkien mee , this is the 3rd hardest thing to do ....to see my perfume all given away...i kept and bring a few to England - Estee Lauder Beautiful ( my most fav classic night use, Lancome Poeme ( the smell is one of the kind, Polo Romance ( perfect day wear) and Babylon ( i bought this in Paris so it is very 'precious')

I read wedding forums and one of the tip is a must and essential to have your own 'scent' ... Finding a perfume, that's easy but finding ur kind of scent..that u and your husband will remember ....it is the most difficult decision of all my perfume purchase.
I actually loveeeeeee and adore Elizebeth Arden Sunflower and i would said that 'that is my smell' but i am also thinking of something new , something i never bought before - DAVID DOFF COOLWATER...something i have always wanted but never really bought it , i dont know why..... and i choose Police for Paul ( P for P mah ) ....hahaha

So here it goes, our wedding 'scent' ...

Shocking leaflet came through the door

Recently there has been a 'protest' in London on Nick Griffin about him being a 'racist/ nazi' . He is from a political party - BNP.
I only had a glimpse of him on news and a TV talk show. Paul set a reminder to watch the talk show . That's all i know about him and not bothered to know more untill this leaflet came through the door, yesterday morning.
If there is a leaflet came through the doors in KL, i bet there will be vast riot. England is one of the top most country that accept /welcome immigrants/asylum seekers etc... Having this leaflet distribution from door to door is kind of shocking to me... this is what we call free speech?
Paul said i should join or errrmmm try to join the party and recorded the tele-conversation to youtube.

And our order of service says
A reading from the book ofGenesis 2:18-24 They became one body
The Lord God said, ‘It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helpmate.’ So from the soil of the Lord God fashioned all the wild beasts and all the birds of heaven. These he brought to the man to see what he would call them; each one was to bear the name of the man would give it. The man gave names to all the cattle, all the birds of heaven and all the wild beasts. But no helpmate suitable for man was found for him. So the Lord God made the man fall into deep sleep. And while he slept, he took one of his ribs and enclosed it in flesh. The Lord God built the rib he had taken from the man into a woman, and brought her to the man. The man exclaimed:
“This at last is bone from my bones,
And flesh from my flesh!
This is to be call woman,
For this was taken from man.’
This is why a man leaves his father and mother and joins himself to his wife, and they become one body.
This is the word of the Lord.
2nd Reading
A reading from the holy Gospel according to John 2:1-11
This was the first signs given by Jesus at Cana in Galilee
There was a wedding at Cana in Galilee. The mother of Jesus was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited. When they ran out of wine, since the wine provided for the wedding was all finished, the mother of Jesus said to him, ‘They have no wine.’ Jesus said, ‘Woman why turn to me? My hour has not come yet.’ His mother said to the servants, ‘Do whatever he tells you.’ There were six stone water jars standing there, meant for the ablutions that are customary among the Jews: each could hold twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, ‘Fill the jars with water,’ and they filled them to the brim. ‘Draw some out now,’ he told them, ‘and take it to the steward.’ They did this; the steward tasted the water, and it had turned into wine. Having no idea where it came from- only the servants who had drawn the water knew – the steward called the bridegroom and said, ‘ People generally serve the best wine first, and keep the cheaper sort till the guest had plenty to drink, but you have kept the best wine till now.’
This was the first sings given by Jesus: it was given at Cana in Galilee. He let his glory be seen, and his disciples believed in him.
This is the Gospel of the Lord.

The Challenge, The Hiccups
40 days to go ....

My veil in diamond white and my dress, champagne. I nearly died when i tried both on , the big drastic. I seen a lot of bride online did the same mistake. The pictures came out funny. I was very sad to loose the first veil i ever bought so the seamstress convince me over a risky solution. Its either do it or Die... DYE WITH TEA ! It will either work out fine OR you will ruin the whole veil. I went did research online and most of peeps against this risky DIY...lol...

but i went ahead....

My seamstress has been quoting me different diff price and this has cause me another panic attack. Another 50 quid not in the budget means hell a lot now ! Work has been much better but not in-terms of regularity. Last week , i only clock 11 hours. So every little helps now. Its so much of panic esp if there is unexpected cost. Advice no 1 - always set aside a misc budget incase things like this comes up... I was 'supposedly' to loose 3kg as well , i didnt set the target to myself...somehow the seamstress has an idea that i should loose that amount..hahahahaha...the more i have diet thoughts, the more i wanna eat ! So far, i succeed half kilo

but i only left 2 weeks before my 2 final fitting...Will the dress fit

The venue have given us the tidak apa attitude. . Although we have already settle on the main things, the tiny bobs..she doesnt care at all..infact, she ask me to find 3rd party supplier..how helpful eh...if this happens in kl ,

i will ask her to fuck off

if u r thinking of building a career...Be a wedding photographer. !!! .. the cheapest pro. qoute i got is 500quid ( that's rm3000!!) and that is suppose to be a damm good deal, having heard ppl actually paid up to 2000quid for their service !
I didnt wanan give up finding one so i have been hogging the internet again. At first, i thought of just using friends and family but apparently, the biggest investment u should put on is actually the photographer.

I really want those special moments capture

The biggest relief is actually finding my makeup and hair artist but that also means my biggest worry. I scrap off the trial to save the dough so how i look on the day is solely based on trust now. I did pop by the shop to discuss 'the requirement' . She assure me that she will make me look beautiful

convincing ? not enough

We also have few surprises in line. Hopefully they will appreciate the kind gestures return. A way of thanking for all the love and support.

SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW, SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING BLUE
This is my blue :- ;)
I honestly didnt know what's a garter is for , except that i know those strip teaser or pole dancers uses it for those ham sap men to put those 1 buck in....but a traditional bride garter, as the bride toss her bouquet to her single ladies...the groom supposedly toss the garter to his single mates, after taking off from the bride of course ;) Paul doesnt know this as well

If u notice, i didnt really summarize each of my episode . Reason for this , let the result on the day speaks for itself. You da judge ! More updates coming soon....

Getting Hitched

1 month, 3 weeks and 4 days before i am officially a Mcgilway. A lot of excitement, panics, nervous breakdown, joys, tears during this few months of planning. I must say that in overall, it's been fun and really great . I got my dress sorted out a month ago. How surprising i choose first dress from the first bridal shop. I never look elsewhere after that and although i did tried on a few, i still go back to the first one. According to the consultant, its bizarrely happen to quite a lot of bride - love at the first sight, so they said ;)
Its by Helen Marina www.helenmarinabridalwear.co.uk/ but as for now , its pantang to say more which one i bought . It is in the web, u could guess ;)

Funnily, the one that gave me the biggest headache is actually choosing the cake and the CAKE STAND !! And if you think it is pretty straightforward, oh gosh No..big one small one , round one , square one ...Geeezzz... A lot of ppl have been very very kind to me including Mrs Nicholls that offer to give us the cake as a wedding pressie.

When laymin ( KL) , uncle ben( KL ) and aunt mimi( NYC) told me of their flight confirmation..i secretly jump in joy (that's because i am alone in the hse) ppl might think i gila if i jump around...

Tan, my good Thai friend has offered to top-up the catering by cooking Asian food which i think it is a brilliant idea -Saya apek... so got some apek element, i think is bagui!

Other friends has offered to give us a honeymoon suite .Sis offered to do wedding favours. Very touching. I couldnt ask for more for these ppl to support me morally and financially !

Keeping the cost at minimal is not an easy thing to do esp a frickled minded like. I bought few items and i think with regrets, i wont be using it . ... my night dress ....To future brides that maybe reading this , if u r sourcing for internet china bridal wear, hell yea..it is very tempting to pay 120quid for the dress of your dream. But let me warn you, for that price, you will get the 120quid quality.

Wedding invitation has been sent out. RSVP up to date - 43. Its not going to be a massive one as we initially only thought of doing registry marriage with close friends and family but Paul's parents insisted on a church wedding. I cant say no. Afterall, Isnt all girls dream to walk the aisle ?and yea last but not least, here's my invite to u :)
( my actual invitation card)
There's so much more update , kambing sup okie ?

I love event management...
I love organizing parties and making sure people had and having fun !
I have been doing event management for the past 4 and half years back in Malaysia and now my skills is putting to the utmost IMPORTANT event of my life. So what is happening eh ?

This second story got nothing to do with the first one
Anyway,i have been doing a month longer of work in a new place and make me realize i should left Seddon long donkey months ago. This new work environment is so much better and the work is so much easier. although it is 12 hours shifts at times , its not a 5days a week work. If i am lucky, i will get 3 days job a week . i am much much more happier but a little bit more tired, haha. If anyone reads this is getting bollocking from workplace until the beitahan type like mine , all i can say is not to worry to move forward. It is a scary feeling not knowing what comes next , for better or for worst but it is better than continuing staying and enduring in a shit hole . Go for a change !
